Parton accepted the job in 1967 signed to RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. But she resigned from the show in 1974 as her solo albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. The song by Parton, I Will Never Have Love for You (for Wagoner), reached the top of the. 1 spot after they split. 1 for the first time since 1974.
