Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Her modeling career started in Italy which is in which she was born and raised, before being was born in California. The first time she acted was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle to get a part, she was offered a role as "Starship Troopers" her role in Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the shift to acting because actors were never considered skilled actors and typically were given smaller roles. Amy was determined to succeed and she eventually landed larger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform some more notable parts. Amy was finally recognized for the role she had been chasing for over a decade. Amy continued to make significant films, like Crank opposite Jason Statham or Shameless in which she became a cherished as a recurring character.
