Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away January 19, 2008, in the US. She was an American film theatre, television, as well as voice actor. Pleshette began her career in the theatre. She was a part of films during the 1950s in the latter half of the decade. Then, she became an actor with a lot of recognition in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 until 1978, Pleshette was a frequent guest in a variety of television shows. She also was the character Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January of 1937. Her parents were Jewish as were the children of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
