KingBennett was signed to Durk's label Only the Family after his collaborations. He was given the stage name King Von, he subsequently had his professional music breakthrough through his first single "Crazy Story," it was released in December of 2018. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 at number 81 , and also the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Charts , which was at 32. It also saw hundreds of millions of YouTube views. In May 2019, Von dropped "Crazy Story 2.0" the follow-up song. The song features Lil Durk, the sequel is one of the remixes from the original track. The release date was September. Crazy Story 3.0 was made available as a sequel/remix.
